Love at first sight…. AND bite!

 

That is what Steveston Pizza’s mouth-watering, flavorful treats will make you feel. There are a lot of pizza places – which of course is totally fine given the number of pizza lovers out there – but this particular Canadian restaurant stands out for several reasons.

Steveston Pizza started in a fishing place called Steveston Village in Richmond, Canada. It takes pride in the way it individually crafts its pizzas that are absolutely out of the ordinary. The man behind Steveston Pizza is not only famous for opening this upscale restaurant, but he is also the creator of the world’s most expensive pizza, claiming the spot from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Chef Nader Hatami broke Ramsay’s record with his $450 C6 pizza featuring lobster thermidor, black Alaskan cod, and Russian Osetra caviar.

The restaurant made its way to the Philippines in 2013. Currently, it has two branches in the country: at UP Town Center, and in the Corinthian Gardens. Owned by businessman Richard Go, Steveston Pizza Philippines is the official licensee of the original Steveston Pizza and is responsible for globalizing Chef Hatami’s concept.

 

From Japanese-inspired to seafood-filled, Steveston Pizza has rolled out a wide variety of flavors that you would want to feed your eyes and tummy with. It is definitely generous on toppings. Go says Steveston Pizza aims to make you say “Wow!” the second you see even just one of the place’s 12-inch fully-loaded offerings, and for us, he does know what he is saying!

 

It has 30 flavors and these are classified into different categories. These include World which features ingredients unique to certain cuisine, Colours that contain organic ingredients, Elements which is a combination of everything, and the Classics. Basically, there is something for everybody!

 

The place boasts of The Princess that has a unique seafood flair. This contains crab meat, cheese, shrimp, diced tomatoes, tiger prawns, sockeye salmon, and basil. Among the bestsellers as well is its signature premium pizza, C2, topped with prosciutto ham, brie, semi-dried rema tomatoes, and roasted garlic mousse.

Under the category Colours, a recommended flavor is Blue which contains rosemary smoked bacon, caramelized onions, mushrooms, fresh spinach, and Stilton blue cheese mousse.

If you are into Asian flavors, try the Earth that is filled with brie, bocconcini, camenbert, oven-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, and Enoki mushrooms; or the Japanese pizza with wasabi teriyaki chicken, and sesame seaweed that is really tasteful!

Here’s another thing your stomach will thank you for as you eat those: the pizzas are greaseless! They are not messy to eat. So does that deserve a two thumbs-up or what!

 

The restaurant does not just serve solely pizza though. You can also have Caesar salad, and Poutine (Steveston Pizza is from Canada, remember?) which is actually healthy because it is baked, not fried.

The prices for the pizzas range from Php300 to almost Php2000. Now that may be pricey for some people but trust us, the pizzas are worth every cent! They are huge and overflowing with flavors!
